Welcome to Calling Out the Shadows Calling Out the Shadows: A Clarity Over Comfort Podcast FULL TRANSCRIPT This is Calling Out the Shadows with Neal Winsomer, a Clarity Over Comfort podcast. My name is Neal Winsomer. I am the author of Calling Out the Shadows, a book coming out on June 16th. This podcast touches on parts of the book, digs in a little deeper, and expands into areas beyond the guide and the memoir. It will include guests, and it will include ideas shared in a subjective, engaging manner, rather than telling people what they are, what they have done, or defining them as a whole. What this show is In this area, when it comes to high conflict communication, a lot of people put out guides, that bad word of almost self-help, where someone who went through one situation now claims to have the answers for everyone. That is not what I am doing here. I did go through a situation, and I spent time studying other people's situations and what they meant, across evasive communication, unhealthy communication, family court, AI, and the in-betweens. Who it is for What I am trying to share are ideas where some may resonate, some may be different, some may be opposite, so that we can have conversations that stand in humility and subjectivity rather than assumption, hype, and empty claims. I am not claiming this to be the end-all. I am sharing that there may be pieces here that could help, or that you might recognize. As I do in the book, I will be touching on the fathers and mothers inside high-conflict co-parenting, and the family members one step out but still close to the dynamic. I will look at how the law can treat people whether they have representation or not, how AI can help, and how it is more than a single prompt and a quick answer. A key element inside healthier communication, especially when it feels like you are being attacked, is standing in humility and subjectivity. You could be dead to rights, and it might still not be the right time to share that thought, send that email, or respond to that text. What is coming Other ideas will go through AI prompts and especially documentation: how we document experiences so they can be proven when they need to be proven, whether that is showing patterns with an individual or bringing those patterns to the court in a better evidentiary form. I will also go into pattern recognition and the protective narrative work for protecting, telling, and publishing sensitive stories. Maybe you have a story and you have been afraid to put it out there because you think someone will try to squash it or attack you. These ideas, tied around family, high conflict, negative communication, and AI, bring a circle of subjectivity and humility. We might not understand it all, but we can have conversations, connect, learn, adapt, take what we need, leave the rest, and move forward a little better than yesterday. That is what I think of when it comes to calling out the shadows. I hope you will consider joining me for an episode or two.
